Luxembourg’s Stars to Shine at the CMCM Luxembourg Indoor Meeting 2025!

The CMCM Luxembourg Indoor Meeting 2025 will bring together the crème de la crème of international athletics, alongside Luxembourg’s finest athletes, eager to dazzle in front of their home crowd on January 19, 2025, starting at 3:00 PM for the pre-program and 4:00 PM for the international meeting.

Patrizia Van der Weken, a semi-finalist at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, will be one of the event’s key attractions. She will compete in the 60m, where she holds the national record of 7.09 seconds, set at last year’s edition of the meeting. For the first time at this level, Patrizia will also run the 200m in Luxembourg, aiming to deliver another stunning performance.

Charles Grethen, a 1500m specialist, will showcase his experience and talent. He holds the national record and personal best of 3:35.99, achieved on February 3, 2024. Charles is expected to be a strong contender for another standout performance over this distance.

Ruben Querinjean, a 3000m steeplechase specialist who competed at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, will take on the 3000m indoor at this meeting. At the 2024 National Championships, Ruben delivered an impressive 8:18.82 in the 3000m steeplechase. Fresh off a strong 24th-place finish at the European Cross-Country Championships, he will use this event to kick off his indoor season and put his endurance and strategy to the test.

Vera Bertemes-Hoffmann, an experienced middle-distance runner and Olympian from Paris 2024, will compete in the 1500m. Vera holds the national record of 4:08.73 and achieved a season-best time of 4:15.52 in 2024. Her presence on the track promises another exciting display of top-tier athletics.

Victoria Rausch, a hurdles specialist, made waves at last year’s meeting by setting a national record of 8.16 seconds in the 60m hurdles. Victoria’s return in 2025 brings high expectations, as she looks to continue breaking barriers and records.

Luxembourg’s athletes will have the advantage of performing in front of a home crowd and competing against world-class talents on a state-of-the-art track, enhanced by the Wavelight technology to add an extra layer of spectacle to the races.
